CPI Specialty Tracks

Available Specialty Tracks

The CPI program is divided into program and product tracks. Workshop materials are modularized to map directly into these tracks, allowing for a flexible and efficient distribution of information. All workshop information is available online or in electronic format for instructors.

The tracks allow instructors to certify for specific applications, thus becoming a specialized knowledge expert and a highly qualified instructor. CPIs will be qualified according to their specific certification and can hold one or more CPI certifications.

The various tracks within the CPI program include:

1. Digital Literacy

Utilizing the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³®) global standard consisting of the following Achievement Credentials:

• Key Applications
• Computing Fundamentals
• Living online

2. Desktop Productivity 2003

Utilizing the following certification exams:

• Office 2003 Word
• Office 2003 Excel®
• Office 2003 Outlook®
• Office 2003 PowerPoint®
• Office 2003 Access™

3. Desktop Productivity 2007

Utilizing the following certification exams:

• Using Microsoft Office Word 2007
• Using Microsoft Office Excel® 2007
• Using Microsoft Office Outlook® 2007
• Using Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2007
• Using Microsoft Office Access™ 2007
• Windows Vista™ for the Business Worker

4. Creative Media (program under development)

Utilizing the following certification exams:

• Web Communication using Dreamweaver (Dreamweaver 8 or Adobe Dreamweaver CS3)
• Rich Media Communication using Flash (Flash 8 or Adobe Flash CS3)
• Visual Communication using Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended
