CPI Qualification and Registration Process

To become a Certified Professional Instructor:

  1. Obtain program certifications by specialty as outlined in the CPI Requirements (AI and/or MMI membership is NOT required, but certifications can be used to qualify for CPI status)
  2. Submit proof of instructional or teaching experience along with proof of formal education to cpi@certiport.com
  3. Attend remote System Administrator training sessions covering the Portal, iQsystem and the CPS. To attend these remote sessions, go to Remote System Admin Session Registration. Select the Upcoming tab to view scheduled sessions. Additional session information is posted on the site and sessions typically run 1-2 hours in duration
  4. Participate in a CPI Train-The-Trainer Workshop for the specialty you are applying
  5. Purchase annual CPI membership

*Note: CPI membership is by specialty: Digital Literacy, Desktop Productivity and Creative Media.
