Certiport and IACET partnered to offer continuing education units (CEU) for developing skills and achieving credentials such as Certiport Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³®), Adobe Certified Associate and the official Microsoft® Office certification programs. One (1) IACET CEU is equal to ten (10) contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. Under IACET's care, the IACET CEU has evolved from a quantitative measure to a hallmark of quality training and instruction.
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training is a nonprofit association dedicated to improving the quality of continuing education and training programs. IACET authorizes education providers who meet strict continuing education guidelines & criteria created in 1968 and improved over the years as practice has evolved. This IACET qualifying process is the standard that HR training buyers and learners seek for quality.
IACET began awarding CEUs for Certiport certification programs in February 2009.
