Certiport Announces 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist India Championship
Competition to Attract Thousands of Competitors to Prove Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
New Delhi, INDIA – November 14, 2014
Certiport (www.certiport.com), a Pearson VUE business, today announced the 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) India Championship, the popular technology skills competition on Microsoft Office. The MOS India Championship is the only one endorsed by Microsoft, providing a platform for students to showcase their expert skills using Microsoft Office tools and gain the upper hand in today's competitive academic and professional marketplace.
“This will mark the fifth year India has participated in the MOS World Championship, and excitement continues to grow as students around the country prove their superior technology skills,” said Pankaj Rai, director and chief executive officer of CyberLearning. “India had a World Champion last year, Arjit Kansal, which will inspire an even greater interest in the competition. We look forward to crowning our Country Champions who will then go on to compete on the world stage.”
Students age 13 to 22 can qualify to participate in the MOS India Championship by earning a passing score on one of the following MOS certification exams between 15 September 2014 and 19 April 2015: MOS Word 2010, MOS Excel 2010, MOS PowerPoint 2010, MOS Word 2013, MOS Excel 2013, MOS PowerPoint 2013.
Upon completion of the qualifying round, 150 students will be invited to attend the 2015 MOS India Championship event in New Delhi from 22-23 May 2015. During the India Championship, all competitors will take a unique competition exam in their track.
The top three students in each track will be honored with prizes and certificates and six First Place Champions will each win an invitation and all-expenses-paid trip to compete in Certiport’s 2015 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship from 9-12 August 2015 in Dallas, Texas, USA.
