Certiport to Name Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Champions in Park City
Top 28 U.S. students compete in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint to prove expert skills and win a trip to Washington, D.C. for Worldwide Championship

Certiport (www.certiport.com), a Pearson VUE business, the leading test delivery solution provider for the global workforce and academic markets, today announced the 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship scheduled for June 12 – 13, 2013 in Park City, Utah. From August 2012 to May 2013, more than 140,000 students in the United States entered to demonstrate their level of proficiency in utilizing the world's foremost desktop computing applications, and now 28 finalists will compete to be named the U.S. Microsoft Office Specialist Champions.
The 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship brings the finalists together to compete in timed exams to demonstrate their abilities in Microsoft Word®, Microsoft Excel® and Microsoft PowerPoint® versions 2007 and 2010. The top winner in each category is invited to compete in the 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist Worldwide Championship in Washington, D.C. from July 31-August 3, 2013.
"Earning the title of MOS U.S. National Champion is a prestigious title, but the value lies in the in-demand workforce skills these students have validated and can now place on their resumes," said Jim Holm, executive vice president, Certiport. Student competitors will participate in testing and interviews in Park City at the Lodges at Deer Valley on Wednesday, June 12th with an Awards Ceremony to name the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Champions planned for 9 p.m. that evening.
