Q. How do I participate in the 2015 MOS India Championship?

Q. How will the U.S. National Champions be identified at the 2015 MOS U.S. National Championship event?

A.During the 2015 MOS U.S. National Championship event, all students will take a unique competition exam in their track.  During this exam, students will be given a printed copy of a document, spreadsheet, or presentation to recreate.  Students will be given printed instructions and guidelines and digital assets to assist in the recreation.  Students will be scored according to the accuracy of their recreation, when compared to the original.  This method is also used during the World Championship.

Q. How do I enter my MOS exam score into the Championship?

A.Participating competitors may enter the score of a qualified MOS exam taken between June 16, 2014 and May 20, 2015 into the Championship (Qualifying Round) in either of two ways:

  1. Register Eligible Exam Immediately Prior to Testing: If the eligible Exam is taken at an ACADEMIC Certiport Authorized Testing Center, the exam delivery tool will prompt the student to register his/her score into the Championship immediately prior to taking the exam. If the candidate chooses to submit his/her score to the Championship, the results of that exam will be automatically entered into the Championship.
  2. Register Eligible Exam(s) Following Testing: Students may also register any eligible Exam(s) after taking the exam(s) by logging onto their Candidate Home Page at www.certiport.com, clicking on the Championship link, and following the registration instructions. Eligible Exams registered using this tool must be registered during the official Championship dates of the country in which the eligible Exam(s) was taken. Eligible Exams taken by students at any COMMERCIAL Certiport Authorized Testing Center may also be registered using this tool.

Q. Who can participate in the Championship?

A.To participate in the Championship, candidates must be students that are currently enrolled in an approved, accredited academic institution recognized by the United States of America. As of June 15, 2015 students must also be between the ages of 13 and 22 (less than 23 years of age). Students participating in the Championship must be able to provide proof of age and student status upon request.

Employees of Microsoft, Inc., Certiport, Inc., Pearson Inc., Pearson VUE, the Sponsoring Certiport Authorized Partner, their affiliates, subsidiaries, parents and related companies and agencies and the immediate family of employees are not eligible. Previous participants of the U.S. National Championship ARE eligible for the 2015 Championship. However, they cannot compete in the exam track they previously competed in. For example, a student who competed in Microsoft Excel® (2010 or 2007) during a previous year's U.S. National Championship, may compete in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, but not Excel.
