Certiport 2010 Worldwide Competition on Microsoft® Office

Testing Center Information

How students can participate:

  • While sitting for an MOS 2007 or MOS 2003 Word or Excel exam, students will be prompted to participate in the Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office. Before the exam begins, a screen will appear with competition information and an opt-in checkbox (checked by default). If the student wishes, he/she can opt out of the competition by clearing the checkbox. Point here to view a screenshot of the opt-in screen.
  • If the student passes the exam and has left the opt-in button checked, he or she will be entered into the competition.
  • At the end of the competition (June 30, 2010), Certiport Solution Providers within each region will choose finalists based on the top exam scores and fastest exam times.

What's different from last year?

  • The competition will no longer be a part of the PATHWAYS conference. Two separate events will be held this year: the Certiport 2010 Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office World Championship and the Certiport Partner Conference.
  • The Student Awards Ceremony will not be tied to a gala event.
  • Regional winners will be recognized at the Student Awards Ceremony. Students do not have to be present at the awards ceremony in order to qualify for prizes.
