IC³ World Cup Competition Point System

Teams score Certification Points when:

* IC³ Authorized Instructors must notify Certiport of their certification to receive points for the team. These points will be added at the end of the competition.

Details:

  • Competition Dates: September 1, 2010 to May 31, 2011. Winners will be announced on June 15, 2011 on the official competition Web site and through e-mail.
  • To register your team, please log in to www.certiport.com and follow the link to register.
  • Each team must have one designated team coach.
  • The team coach must be a qualified teacher or instructor.
  • There is no limit to the number of members allowed per team, but all points must be earned at the same Testing Center.
  • Individuals may only participate on one team.
  • Teams may consist of the following:
    • Teachers
    • Instructors
    • Students
    • Employees
    • Faculty or staff
    • Students' parents
  • Teams may use exams purchased prior to the start of the 2011 Competition as long as the exams are completed during the Competition dates (September 1, 2010 to May 31, 2011).

Please Note:

  • The team coach is the only player who can have points grandfathered for the competition and will earn 300 points if he/she is already IC³ Certified and has his/her Authorized Instructor certification.
  • Activities completed before the start date of the competition or before the participant is added to a team will not be awarded points, with the exception of teams who register in October.
  • In the case of a tie, the average score of all IC³ exams taken by the teams' members will determine the tie-breaker.
  • The team coach or another member of the team MUST notify Certiport and provide verifying information of any new IC³ Authorized Instructor certifications earned in order to receive the corresponding 100 points.
