Grouping Objects

If you ever create a graph or picture by combining several different elements, it is helpful to group the items so that they may be copied or moved as one. Before this is done, you must format the graphics so that they may be moved freely:

  1. Right-click on one of the graphics and choose Format Picture.
  2. Click on the Layout tab and select a wrapping style that works best for your document. Click OK.
  3. The graphic can now be easily dragged by using the cross-arrow cursor. You may also rotate the image using the green rotate handle.
  4. Repeat these steps for each picture inserted into your document and arrange them how you would like them to remain.
  5. Now that you are ready to group the images as one object, select all of the images at once by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on each image.
  6. When all items are selected (each should have a sizing handle around it), right-click on any one of the items and choose Grouping » Group.
  7. Now all of the images are grouped together as one object. You can now copy, move, or resize all of the images at once.
