If you want to add animation to your presentation to make the transitions between slides less abrupt or more exciting, you can apply a preset animation scheme to your slides. The most commonly used schemes are Fade in one by one, Wipe, and Dissolve in, but there are several schemes to choose from, categorized by subtlety. To use an animation scheme, follow these instructions:
- While in PowerPoint, select Slide Show » Animation Schemes from the main drop-down menu. A task pane will appear to the right of your presentation.
- Select a scheme from the task pane by clicking on it. This will automatically apply the selected scheme to the current slide.
- You may choose to apply your selected scheme to every slide in your presentation by clicking Apply to All Slides.
- Click the Slide Show icon to test your presentation, or choose View » Slide Show from the drop-down menu (you may also use the keyboard shortcut, F5).
