SALT LAKE CITY - December 11, 2012

Certiport (www.certiport.com) the official test delivery solution provider for the global workforce and academic markets, today announced an expanded relationship with Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), the largest business student association in the United States. "The FBLA National Awards Program recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of career-related areas," said Jean M. Buckley, President and CEO, FBLA-PBL. "Adding MOS certification to the competitive mix can only enhance an already high-profile event, as MOS has proven to prepare students for college and future careers. MOS certification is a premier industry certification that is recognized by both colleges and employers worldwide."

FBLA student members must register as a Certiport Testing Candidate and take a Qualifying MOS Core Certification Exam (Word 2010 and/or Excel 2010) to participate. At the 2013 NLC in Anaheim, competitors will take Word 2010 Expert and Excel 2010 Expert exams in the Pilot Competitive Events. The top winner of each of the pilot events will be invited by Certiport to compete in the 2013 MOS World Championship on July 31 - August 3, 2013 in Washington D.C.

Certiport is the provider of the MOS certification program, a globally recognized, standards-based credential for validating Microsoft Office skills. It is the premier credential chosen by students who are seeking to achieve success in the classroom, build individual differentiation and credibility, and prepare for a workforce where the knowledge and skills provided by MOS certification are in high demand.

"Certiport has seen thousands of individuals succeed with MOS certification, and we know it has a profound impact on college admissions and job placement," said Jim Holm, Certiport Executive Vice President. "Schools that embrace industry certification also reap significant rewards such as higher GPAs for their students and increased retention and graduation rates. This program is a win for FBLA, their members, and FBLA chapters who get involved."

Certiport has created exclusive MOS certification offers for FBLA chapters, advisers and students and all who wish to compete will have the opportunity. Visit www.certiport.com/fblaoffers to learn more.
