College Credit
We are pleased to announce that the American Council on Education (ACE) has reviewed and recommended the following exams for college credit:
- Microsoft Office Specialist certification for Office 2007, Office 2003 , Office XP, and Office 2000
- Internet and Computing Core Certification 2003 & 2005 standards
- Adobe Certified Associate for Creative Suite 3 applications
Individuals who currently hold or are pursuing IC³ certification, Microsoft Office Specialist certification or Adobe Certified Associate certification may apply for college credit through the American Council on Education (ACE) member institutions.
Ultimately, the college or university you attend (or plan to attend) will independently decide whether to grant credit and waive associated tuition requirements. However, ACE member institutions give considerable weight to ACE credit recommendations. Contact your institution, or the institution you plan to attend, and inquire about its policy regarding ACE credit recommendations.

Certiport is also happy to announce the ability to offer Continuing Education Credits (CEU's) through IACET
Who is IACET?
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (http://www.iacet.org) is a nonprofit association dedicated to improving the quality of continuing education and training programs. IACET authorizes education providers who meet strict continuing education guidelines & criteria created in 1968 and improved over the years as practice has evolved. This IACET qualifying process is the standard that HR training buyers and learners seek for quality.
What is a CEU?
The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) was created by IACET as a measurement of continuing education. One (1) IACET CEU is equal to ten (10) contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. Under IACET's care, the IACET CEU has evolved from a quantitative measure to a hallmark of quality training and instruction.
